Greece is the Word! – A Musical Review Featuring Greek Plays

10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Join us this summer for two weeks of theater games, scene studies, choreography and musical numbers that would make Dionysus proud! Students will work as an ensemble led by a team of directors to create an original musical review with adaptation and translation texts of the Greek Plays. This program serves as a bridge for understanding classical and contemporary works, which are pillars of the training received in both the Theatre and Musical Theatre Departments at the Academy.
The Three Musketeers, 2023
The Chicago Academy for the Arts Departments of Theatre and Musical Theatre present a two-week summer program for students entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grades focusing on professional training in acting, voice (both singing and speaking), and dance and/or stage movement. In addition, students may have the opportunity to work with The Academy’s faculty on various technical aspects of the theatre. The program will culminate in a presentation of material on the final day.
