“I love that my son loves going to school, and loves the learning that occurs at The Academy. The co-curricular approach to education, his peers and the mentorship provided to him by the entire faculty — every part of The Academy experience has allowed my son to grow into the mature young man that he is today, ensuring that he is ready for the next phase of his life.”
Tamara Jazwinski is the mother of Matthew Jazwinski (Music ‘20). Matthew is excited to announce that he has decided to attend San Francisco Conservatory of Music for Jazz Studies and Bass Performance!
Tamara has appreciated the musical training Matthew has received in the Academy community.
“He has had the opportunity to share his craft with like minded students and teachers, and be able to develop his talents in a creative nurturing environment that encourages expressive thought and individuality, non judgmentally. The individualized education, the incredible learning experiences, and the mentorship. There is no way a public high school setting can offer these things, especially at the level, that The Academy is able to offer. Every single faculty member at The Academy is kind, responsive, caring and professional. They are each an intellectual in their own right — each being a master of their craft. The teachers “get” the students and are not afraid to challenge the students in their thinking.”
Tamara will also miss the performances from all six departments.
“We plan our weekends around what is going on at The Academy, and love attending events with family and friends.”
